Dates and time

• When using times and dates together, start with the information that's more important for the user: time or date.
• 20:00 February 2, 20XX.
• 2 February 20XX 8:00 p.m.

Dates

• Use the date format for the specific locale.
• In North America, use month day, year.  For example, July 31, 20XX .
• In Ireland and UK, use day month year. For example, 31 July 20XX.
• Always spell out the month when possible to avoid confusion.
• Do not use ordinal numbers like 1st and 30th. 

Time

• Use a colon (:) to separate hours and minutes.
• Use a.m. or p.m. for 12-hour formats.
• Add a space before a.m. or p.m.
• For countries that use the 24-hour format exclusively, omit a.m. and p.m.
