What is a design system?
A design system is a collection of reusable components, patterns, and guidelines that are used to create and maintain consistent and cohesive user interfaces (UIs) across a range of products or platforms within an organization. Design systems typically include elements such as typography, color palettes, spacing, icons, buttons, form fields, and other UI elements that help users navigate our products and complete tasks efficiently.
The primary goal of a design system is to establish a unified and consistent visual language that can be applied across different products, platforms, and teams. This consistency not only enhances the user experience by making interfaces more intuitive and familiar but also streamlines the design and development process by promoting efficiency, collaboration, and scalability.
