- The Draft with Copilot pattern allows users to quickly draft an email using Copilot AI.
- An email can be drafted automatically by Copilot, or drawn from a predefined template.

- This pattern uses the Text editor component.
- In future, Draft with Copilot may also allow users to generate human resource documents such as health and safety policies.
Interactions
Triggering Draft with Copilot
- Different products may have different triggers for drafting with Copilot.
- For example, some Copilot insights have a button prompting the user to draft emails relating to the insight topic.
- This button triggers a modal which allows the user to review and adjust the AI-generated email before sending.

Editing an email
- Draft with Copilot has a group of controls which allow the user to adjust the tone, length, and language of the email, as well as adding or subtracting data fields contained within it.
- Once the user has made an adjustment, they can trigger Copilot to generate a new draft of the email.
- The user also has the option to manually edit the email by typing into the text area.

Using a template
- Under their product's settings, the user can create a template email to be used in specific cases.
- If a template has been created, Copilot will use this when drafting the initial email message.
- This email can still be adjusted using Draft with Copilot controls, or manually by the user.
